People in gyms move lots of weight around everyday, generally terribly. We want to skip all that noise and just teach you to be an exceptional mover. Whether it’s your bodyweight or a 70# kettlebell, your movement should always look exactly the same. We will teach you to move you, then we can teach you to move stuff. Here at Contemporary Athlete we operate on a solid foundation of minimalistic components. These are the things that separate Contemporary Athlete from your traditional gyms. We look at the always scary barbells as your graduate degree in badassery. So until you are ready for them, they will happily live in the corner of the gym. Out of sight, and out of mind.
Through the application of past and on-going education rooted in hands-on personal experience, this has given us the edge in training a vast range of athletes, from youth through heavily experienced. Intensity is high and excellence is expected. We all have bad days and the family of athletes here is what will get you through some of the hardest training you have ever done.
After a long hard look, we decided it was time to trim our CA: Performance program into one kickass 45 minute long class. With heavy focus on form, and technique - getting you moving right is the first priority! That way when you leave you will leave a stronger, fitter, SWEATIER version of YOU! You will use mostly bodyweight movement, kettlebells, and some HIIT style cardio. Safety always comes first. These classes are fast paced so you can get your training in, and then get back to living your life!
